| We've had a 480FLL since new in '91, now has 9000hrs. It's loaded all the manure on our 100 cow dairy for 34 years. Only problems have been tie rod ends on steering cylinders. Factory ends have no grease zerks so they only last about 2000 hrs. I put aftermarket from All states ag parts on last time with zerks and keep them greased. Still good after 3000hrs and less than half the price.
I also had to rebuild the shuttle at around 5000hrs as it wouldn't go in reverse when hot. Also the injection pump needed the throttle shaft resealed at around 7000hrs.
All around tough machine but terrible in mud as R4 tires slide sideways and the small front wheels cut in deep quickly with a load in front. Engine starts easy in cold down to 20 degrees but has a strong vibration which seems to be the nature of that engine.
Loader is strong and bucket is very tough. I do a lot of scraping on concrete and on second bucket and second cutting edge. Unlikely to have a quick attach but bucket is plenty strong for a clamp on bale spear. I moved at least 10000 3x3 bales with mine before retiring it to only manure use.
Any more questions just ask.
