East Central Nebraska | I had to replace the exhaust elbow on my 2-105 a few years ago and the bolts went into the exhaust manifold. Wasn't looking forward to it as I thought for sure they would break off and sure looked good and rusted up. I soaked the bolts every day for a week with CRC freeze off and Kroil. The bolts spun out real easy and were damp with that stuff when I pulled them out. Dont forget anti-seive when going back in. Assuming the 5.9 cumins is the same as an 8.3, I think there might be some locking tab washers to bend before removal. | |
