Subject: Hydraulic oil temp releif

NE Kansas
Just want to throw this out there, but I have posted before about my hydraulic temp running hot on a Magnum and Harvest International planter combo. This could also help on probably other combos as well. I was having a little trouble with seed bridging up in the tubes when I started beans. I started to slow my central delivery fan down and each time I went a notch or two lower, the bridging got better. Started at 20 on my monitor and now sitting at 14 for the last day or so with no issues. Have done a couple different varieties and so far, so good. But what I have notice is my hydraulic temperature has cooled. We hit around 90 on Wednesday and my temp at one time got to 193. Before, it would be 200 to 203 when running. Now with days in the 80.s, its running about 102 to 103 degrees above outside temperature. I didn't think it would make that much difference, but it really has. Just thought I would relay this to the guys with temperature problems on planters with central delivery fans. Might bump it down a little and see what happens. I might try a little lower, but its working good where it's at. Safe plantings!
