Western Ohio | Not sure of your location but here in Ohio it is very wet right now. Our grass is very washy just to much water in it right now. People have been showing and commenting about all this green grass and picking on Russ the past few weeks. Bottom line the grass just has to much water in it and is not as nutrient dense as drier harder grass is.
The advice provided is right need more energy (grain). Or dry forage to slow things down.
We are supplementing our heifers right now as well trying to keep enough energy in them.
