Subject: Flatbed on a F150???

Anyone put a flatbed on a F-150? Does a guy need the 6.5ft bed to do it? Is the 5.5ft too short to put one on? Is a flatbed way heavier than the box? Would aluminum be a lot better than steel? Anyone’s opinions or anyone who’s done it is appreciated. Also any brand of flatbed they like or would work or options they like on one. Thinking of making a work truck out of a F-150 and wondering if flatbed is feasible. Wouldn’t pull a lot but would probably put a gooseneck hitch on just for once in a blue moon. Thanks for any info.
