Barry County, MI | hard knock Ive been growing it for 25 years . I used to go to farmers markets and I would have a friend de hull it and I grind with stone mill .
It was grown before wheat and it has a hull on it so the dehulling for human consumption.
some of the people that have minor celack might be able to use it
alot of people that have been told they have celack may have other wheat problems
Ohio a few years ago had 200,000 acres a year growing for calves and cow feed and horse also
we had a good market 15 years ago but not so much any more
we use for creap feed for calves and grind in the fat feed
it will grow without much fertilizer and do well
I use as a cover crop and frost seed clover in and make straw for cow bedding
I have been eating a small amount in my buckwheat cake every morning
the brand in the stone grown or steel ground Is good for the people my wife makes a lot of pastry cakes and so on with it I have a friend that can make some good whole spelt bread with a bread machine
but you need to master the process
make grape nuts for you and your kids and grandkids better than anything you can buy from any store in my opinion . I've got a few people wanting some
I don't try to sell it but Ill grow and sell for horses not much money in it .15 cents a lb . cattle stay healthy and horses do too . archie
