 Michigan | The answer to your question is yes. It is both. It's a variable displacement load sensing pressure compensating system. Do we want to get caught up in terminology? Deere and others use the term PFC or Pressure and Flow Compensating.
For both the 8310 and the 4555, the bypass should be closed, and the oil flow should be adjusted on the SCV (Rabit/turtle lever on the back of the 4555, and the buttons and dial on the side console in the 8310). If your 8310 SCV flow setting is set at max and is not outperforming the 4555, something is wrong.
I assume you have a rate controller of some sort on your sidedresser? If it controls the oil flow to the pump rather than control the flow of product out of the pump, you should be using the Power Beyond with a load sense line. | |
