I don't want to burn your house down, but I have to think the amount of heat/sparks from a cutoff wheel cutting through a soft nail will be Minimal. Even if you had sawdust for insulation I can't see it lighting. Take a spray bottle of water if your worried. Just my opinion.
I don't have a multitool to compare, so I suppose its a good excuse to get one of those.
