E ND | That is a frustrating situation. Is it actually burning 14-23 GPH (verified by a metered pump reading/hours) or is that what the display is saying during use? Not knowing your situation or specific machine I would tell you it's almost impossible for a 6.7L engine from any MFG to burn an honest 20+ GPH. That's 15L-18L type fuel burn. Between the comment on the engine load and the high fuel burn, almost sounds like a fuel pressure sensor/software issue in the display. Hydro machines do run at a higher no-load engine load than other drive types due to the parasitic load of the pumps, not sure what's normal for a hydrostat windrower but again if this is just an issue with the display it may just be reading slightly high. Many machines will run 100-125% engine load on the display when pushed hard. If it runs well and cuts well at the expected speed anyways.
Windrower autosteer is also a beast to tame due to the way they steer but should be an in the field tuning situation more than a actual component issue. Has the dealer's technology support person been out on it with no resolution? Hard issue to replicate and troubleshoot in a shop.
Bottom line is this needs dealer management/ownership and MFG regional tech rep involvement at this point. | |
