Southeast Washington | And that is using a pull or 3 point sprayer like the OP is asking? I do agree that the systems work great in irregular conditions like your waterway scenario. They are much better than just section control. Mainly depends what your fields consist of.
I also think enterprising youth could make good money making systems much cheaper than the Capstan and Hawkeye national brand systems. It isn't rocket science to program a system and buy off the shelf parts to make one. There is a computer geek in our area that has built several quality units that have worked flawlessly for years for less money.
