Years ago (at a Case Company store) a man brought in his older Case, 530 maybe, for PTO work. Tech that worked on it recommended and upate to the PTO adjustment mechanism which the customer refused. the tractor alos had a burned valve causing a dead miss on 1 cylinder.

The PTO adjuster failed as the tech warned it might. The guy sent a letter and the result was that top management ordered the store to not only update the PTO but to repair the engine as well. 

All this guy did with that old rag was a little mowing and maybe push some snow.
