| Ok. I still have the same question as I have asked several times now. Has the data for the studies you mentioned, the meta data, including any peer reviewed data, been purged of the type of factors I mentioned? Those factors create obvious bias of the outcome of those studies.
I am not asking you to change your mind. You can believe what you want. But if the peer reviewed studies did not remove even the few biases I mentioned earlier then I am asking you to acknowledge that the data and the results of any study using the biased data will also be biased and not necessarily reflect reality.
Furthermore, if the peers that reviewed that data did not do something as simple and obviously necessary as removing the sources of bias in the data they are reviewing that speaks volumes for the integrity of those peers that reviewed the data. I don’t care how many letters they have behind their names or how highly qualified they are. If they can’t follow even the most basic and standard scientific procedures when reviewing that data their assessments are simply not valid.
Simply acknowledge that. I am asking you to not forgo your belief in basic scientific protocols if the answer won’t be what you want it to be. Overcome your bias that you admitted. That is all that I am asking. I do not expect you to change your mind. I am asking you to acknowledge that the reason you feel so strongly is because of your bias.
FWIW. As I have stated a few times before I actually hope what I believe to be true is wrong because it isn’t good. I’d like to believe that everything was done in the best interests of the population and anything bad that happened was purely by accident. But no amount of me wanting to be wrong will make me overlook the “experts” attempts to sell us peer reviewed studies based on corrupted data. I don’t trust experts when they are obviously not being trustworthy.
Edit to add: I don’t mean anything I said as in insult. I realize now that it likely sounded like that. But it wasn’t meant that way. As you said we are all biased. I am also biased. I likely didn’t word it properly but what I am basically asking of you is to acknowledge that unless the data used for any peer reviewed study has had all of the biases removed the results of the peer review process will not be any more accurate than the original study.
It’s still fine to hold the same beliefs as you do now. In my opinion the biggest issue preventing proper discussions on these controversial issues has been the public trusting the experts who likely don’t deserve to be trusted. Trust but verify.
