Western Ky. | We went from a well maintained 800 to a 1250. We really made the chainge because the spacing had got pretty bad on the 800. The 1250 is so much better. We have been doing variety trials for years and the trials always had better spacing and we wondered why. Talking to a Cyclo guru he knew why. He said that the seed companies size the plot seed much better than thier regular seed. Definately an ah-ha moment. But here is the kicker, yields are no different between the two planters. We still have and use the 800 at times. I like the monitor on the 800 much better than the one on the 1250. Much easier to see and hear than the one on the 1250. We are still using an open station tractor. |
