WC MN | Didn't say it was. But the beginning of the season was a lot like this year in our area. 2012 we were extremely fortunate over most of our farm anyway. Not far away it was a different story. 4th of July weekend that QPF map showed us getting 2". We got 4 tenths. We got bailed out by a heavy rain later in July or it would have been a different story.
There will never be another 2012 but there may be something similar or worse someday. This year unlikely to be worse probably not even close.
Edit to add: 25' temps are not as warm as 12' but a large swath is in the top 10 to 15 warmest on the graph. So there are definitely similarities. Drought in 12' started in 11' over a good chunk of the country. There are less spots with that impact this time around.
