Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

Upload speeds are terrible. 3 to 5 Mbs. Download speeds are marginal IMHO. The satellites are in geo-synchronous orbit which is a big deal because the data has to make a minimum 44,600 mile trip and even though radio waves travel at the speed of light (almost) that delay is quite noticeable. It looks like they plan to use cell towers for transmitting some requests and that will reduce ping times if conditions are ideal. But if you are in an area where cell service is marginal, that won't help much.
Starlink, with its low earth orbit satellites is better but even then, their upload speeds are nothing great.
I'm currently using a Verizon wireless box that runs $50 / month with no equipment fee. 200 Mbs downloads with 20 to 30 Mbs uploads. You need to be in an area where Verizon has 5G towers for that to work though.
