We have a 1250 that we bought new in 2012. We put Vset, DeltaForce and Wave vision sensors on it in 2020 -- that made a good planter a great planter.
2150 is the new and improved row unit design -- it is the same basic concept, but much more robust design. 2150 has all Precision Planting meters and DeltaForce.

However, our 1250 has been essentially trouble free other than some hydraulic hoses. the 1255 has a different bulk tank design which is easier to get fully filled to capacity.

I think you could buy a 1250 or 1255 pretty cheaply and deck it out with Precision components and be less than 1/2 the cost of a new planter. However, if cost is not a factor.....go straight for a new 2150!
