North Central Kansas | What is your pulse rate? Metoprolol will lower your pulse rate which will cause issues. It can be prescribed with other BP meds to help lower blood pressure. The Dr. needs to understand what your pulse rate is before putting you on that. My pulse runs around 60 bpm. Dr. put me on Metoprolol. After a couple of months I started feeling bad. Low energy and brain fog. Made it through spring planting and getting cattle to grass feeling bad. We were going on a Alaskan Cruise so I decided I needed to lose weight. I bought a fitbit watch to track my walking. I could walk 4 miles and my pulse never broke 75 bpm. I started watching it during the day. I would take my meds in the morning and by 10am I was crashing down to 45bpm. Called Dr. and explained what I thought was going on. Of course he didn't want to admit something might be his fault. Went into the clinic and the took my BP and pulse rate. Once they saw that it was in the 40 bpm range they told me to stop taking the Metoprolol. It took about a month before I felt better. | |
