nc ks | I've had the same banker all my career as well and not looking forwards to the day he retires.
However, I have had personal first hand stories from good and established guys that had a bank move them into a loan officer that was a moron. When they were renewing loc he would go through their assets and ask why they needed this tractor and stupid stuff like that. I'm sure he was free with his advice on when to sell grain too. These bankers do exist and need to be told to screw off.
Edit to add: told to screw off at the first time you can easily move your business elsewhere. Many farmers did that. It makes me think that the bank's philosophy going forwards wasn't built on farmers and they were trying to shed them. Local homegrown bank too but now has 10 branches and a huge headquarters building in the nearest small city.
