| our bin site is 1/4 mile from our house, and Iam glad it is. During harvest there are bees wings and dust everywhere. During winter-spring loadout times there can be spilled grain, which rots and stinks. No trucks coming and going through a house driveway. Its close enough to see it and electrical can be locked out to prevent someone helping themselves to a load
The sound factor can be mitigated somewhat with using centrifical fans instead of the more comman axial fans, and pointing fans a certain direction if you insist on putting it close to your house
to me its a no brainer. the site with 3 phase, natural gas and plenty of room for expansion is the winner for you
