Bet they would really be loud. Years ago I bought my wife a set of large wind chimes, pipes are 1 1/2" dia, longest is about 5'. I finally took the wind cat her off because they were so noisy. Even with that, on windy days I have to take a rope & tie them together to keep from banging.
