Sunlight destroys plastic, White plastic allows sunlight to go all of the way through the plastic. Black plastic blocks all of the sunlight from penetrating through the plastic. The darker the plastic the better it tolerates sunlight.
This is the key, white zip's are for inside use
The black ones with the Stainless steel "catch" are premium, too.
