NW KS/ SC ID | If looking at a 7000 series, stick to 7010-7080 and avoid the 7000. Not a bad tractor, but not a great one either.
7040 if in good condition would be a decent rig, but try and find some cheap takeoff big radial tires that you can either bolt onto dual hubs or widen out existing wheels, as you are going to want to improve the ride, Allis is pretty short coupled and doesn't ride the best.
Hydraulics are unmatched IMO. First PFC system in farm tractors to my knowledge.
426 holds up fine at that power level, and 2 pinion differential won't give rits for your usage.
Hood panels remove without tools and fuel is ground fill, so easy servicing.
For low yielding grass hay I assume you are looking at rowse equipment? They seem to cater to that market. | |
