Get a bigger tractor. It probably won't be anymore money.
Bigger tractor means bigger tires. Bigger tires mean the holes hurt less.
Get a good cab with AC. The dust can be terrible, There can and will be mold also at times.
Once these tractor get so old, they do not depreciate much, so cost of ownership is interest.
