Subject: John Deere 455 Grain Drill Seeding Rate Question

Hey Guys, I am thinking about planting a Small acreage of Milo with our John Deere 455 Grain Drills that is on 6 inch Spacing. I was thinking about either plugging off every other hole or every 2 holes that would make it either on 12 inch spacing or 18 inch spacing. I know that if I plug off every other hole I would need to double my drill setting for my seeding rate on 12 inch spacing, but if I plug off every 2 holes for 18 inch spacing, would I need to triple my seed setting?
Thank you,
