| Kicking around putting up my first bin this winter. I know it’s not NAT approved but probably just going to start with a stirrator bin. I am struggling with where to set it. Location 1 would be at my dad’s, which has a 20x50 Harvestore silo that I could attempt to utilize for storage. (Not sure what that would take and if it’s economically viable, and could still store in it even if I set the grain setup elsewhere) location 2 would be next to my shop/in front of my house. Obviously this would be the most convenient but my wife has made comments about fan noise and varmints and those are certainly fair points and I want to be respectful to her even if it means it’s less convenient for me. Location 3 would be the opposite direction on the corner of our road and a more traveled road. Probably a quarter mile. This location would have access to 3 phase and a 16” natural gas pipeline (don’t know how economical that would be to tap) across the road. Obviously, location 3 sounds the most desirable, but is having a bin site away from your house problematic? | |
