SW Iowa | Your budget and acreage don't exactly match up, unless there's something I'm missing. 1000 acres is almost two square miles. Between mowing, raking, and baling you're going to have several hundred hours of seat time on your one or two tractors each year. I would think that would be enough hay to pay for a pretty decent tractor quickly. Lots of reliable older Deere's in the 20k to 30k range | |
