Subject: Corn- post harvest/pre plant tillage.

Central ND
Thinking more and more on starting to grow corn. But not sure the best post harvest/pre plant tillage route. No deep ripping needed here.

Would follow corn with 15" soybeans.

Don't want the corn residue to blow and pile along the field boarders like the neighbors.

Haven't bought a header yet, so that can play into harvest residue management.

Have a disc, chisel plow, and Great Plains TurboMax available as well as a plow and field cultivator

I've always wondered how true no till soybeans work into corn stalks when it comes time to harvest the soybeans.

I have lots to learn about corn residue management so any pointers can help.

Chisel plow in the fall and turbomax in the spring pre plant? Or true no till. Have a 1790 with row cleaners on all 15" rows. Let's have a good discussion. Thanks.

EDIT: Estimated 100-150bu corn residue.
