So much destruction in all of the pictures in all of this. I looked back to see if we were done planting by then, and we had only started on May 11th and then there was quite a delay before starting again. How far were you with planting, and how much cleanup was there to do in all of your fields?
We were about ¾ done with corn, and didn't get much rain, so planting resumed in a few days. We had to cover all of the fields first checking for debris. I only remember 1 field that was bad, it had all of the neighbors pole shed strewn across it.
One 1 quarter that was planted (strip till), the wind rolled and windrowed the soybean stubble so badly that it buried some of the corn and resulted in emergence issues. We didn't know what to do having never seen it before. | |
