you most certainly can do that, I did for many years. You need a FieldDocConnect cable to tie the two together and change some settings in the Raven. You will not be able to use Section Control. If you eventually want to use Section Control, you can buy a John Deere Rate Controller and an adaptor cable to connect to your Raven harness. Then you can have Section control. Section Control doesn't have the value it once did, so often times you can buy a 2630 with it on there for not much more than one without. I am not sure, but I think AgExpress has a version of a FieldDocConnect cable
