south east SD | I was outside fixing our Joker and it was hot and muggy. Got home at 3:30 and took a shower to clean up and cool off, sat down and turned on the local news. Local news was in full panic mode about the storm coming which isn’t unusual. But when they started talking about the wind taking down electric power sub stations I knew this one was different.
The first time in my life I went into our basement for protection!!
Came outside and had 3 tress broke over and one very top lid on a grain bin bent. The 3 trees took a half hour and the lid took longer to straighten out and reuse.
Neighbor little over a mile lost everything in his yard. House, barn, shop, bins, machine shed and loafing shed.
Many stories from everyone that day in 2022.
Never want to see that again. | |
