Trump put tariffs on 160 countries then removed and escalated on China. The populations of a lot of these countries will hold a grudge regardless what their govt does which will affect things like travel to the US and boycotting US goods. Also it puts in motion those countries forming alliances with other countries to limit exposer to the US. I think the US has lost a lot of creditably to the world the results of which remain to be felt.
China is negoiating from a position of strength. The US is not. The US knows empty shelves are on the horizon and that’s why the US initiated talks with China. The US wanted to talk and Several weeks went by before China agreed to talk . We cater to the voters China caters to LT prosperity.
We started the trade war and now are trying to end it. We are in worse shape going forward as a result.
Brazil is there now making deals.. while we’re “talking” about making deals.

Of Course check offs and sending “trade delegations” are just a huge waste of check off dollars anyway.. so.. “no big” right kb? …
