Subject: Meatza

Pittsburg, Kansas

We eat meatza every week or two. It is basically pizza without a bread crust. Wife browns hamburger in a cast iron skillet, then adds onions, peperoni, tomato or pizza sauce (Italian seasoning also) and finally tops with shredded cheese until the cheese melts like it would on a pizza. Walah - meatza served right from the skillet placed on a heat pad on the table. Scoop it out with a spatula.

Other stuff can be added for toppings just like pizza. We sometimes also have olives, green peppers, etc.

Pizza without the crust. Very filling and delicious.

We have also tried other crust material for a pizza you can pick up. Ground beef, ground chicken, cauliflower. They were all ok to good and can pick up and eat like regular pizza, but the ground beef in a pan and served in the pan is super quick and easy and I like it just as good if not better than an alternative crust. Wife likes is because in a half hour she can have supper on the table.
