I would get spinning reels with a trigger, and probably ugly stick rods (they are durable). Not sure what’s in the pond, but I would put 20lb -30lb line on set up. Some medium to large sized red and white bobbers, and fairly heavy jig heads that you can put a real worm on. Also a hook remover, and bring your leather gloves. You have to match the weight of your bobber to the weight of your jig head.
