| Been experimenting with creating guidance lines in SMS. They worked great for seeding, but there were two places where I had this issue - which is that rather than follow a curve on the line, the tractor would just drive straight through. In both cases it was the first curve after the A/B points on the guidance line.
I figure its because the tractor is grabbing the projected line after the B point, rather than grabbing the curve after the A point. Drew a little picture to show you what I mean. It doesn't matter where along that edge I grab the line - whether its right before the curve starts at the west edge, right close to the A/B points, or way back at the east end.
Guidance is via Nav 2/Pro 700.
Is there some best practice on how to create the A/B points so the tractor will follow the curve every time? Might this be solved by switching to another system, say Ag Leader (something I've been tempted to do anyway)? Any advice? Quite frustrating!
