S Illinois | Shorter distance to go east from Brazilian ports. There is some delay also through the canal but it’s longer trip/mileage for ships to go from Brazilian ports to Chinese ports via the Canal bs directly east. US beans take a somewhat longer trip than Brazil beans have to to reach China. The PNW is the quickest/cheapest once in a boat but rail is much more expensive to get it there first. | |
