the lower crude prices aren`t showing up at the pump. in north iowa around $3 gas and $3.10 diesel. i don`t know who`s "greedy", the gas stations or the refiners. kum & go stations seem to be passing it off to consumers a little better with gas in the $2.50`s. they talk about crude needing to be in the $70s to be profitable or breakeven, but it`s like "packer margins in the red!!!" sure is taking them a long time to go broke. like some farmers "losing $1 bushel raising beans and a little less growing corn" yet everyone got a new planter... who paid for that, oprah winfrey? and when a farm sells it`s $15,000. cost of productions are kind of dynamic number.

Yup, the dollar just isn't worth as much but a gallon of gas is still a gallon, not a lighter bag of doritos sold at the same price the bigger bag was a few months ago.

I find it funny too about the farmer so called 'cost of production' being negative and still all the drool on the new f250's at the dealer but the farmer still ordering one with even more features. Most of the farmer moaning comes from those siphoning money off the farm gig and wanting the gravy train to keep going. Checkoffs and Farm Bureau anyone? What a grift by people who add no value.
