Renter has been going through that. Got caught dui. Now has a interlock on vehicle, jail time, lots of visits to parole officer, AA meetings required. Will never get driving jobs. Will always feel the pull of alcohol. Never ending battle . Does have more money now. Alcohol is a money quicksand and a life destroyer. GET out as soon as you can.
I could not agree more , I met more that one that not only destroyed their life with family , wrecked their self with money , and permanently destroyed their health.
One thing that really stood out to me was of the couple I met that had wrecked their health was VODKIA .
I only met a couple , I did not have. private room so another fellow was there. He could tell some stories.
I don’t know if they do that every where but where I was I was on the psych. Floor .
I told the nurse , hell I might need to be here anyway
She laughed .
I told her one day “ they poked me everywhere but my rear “ she replie. “ that’s coming next “ I said “ what ? No way “ she busted out laughing. She said gotcha !
We cut up a lot after I got feeling better , she said I was a real good patient “ I told her you are controlling my food think I want to make you mad “ I said what about a salt shaker ? She said if you are foolish enough with your BP I’m giving you some salt you have lost your mind . I said well I am in fact in the floor with the other nuts , so ??
She laughed again .
It’s kind of a procedure at check out to take you down in a wheel chair , told the fellow that was taking me “ where the hell were you when I was drinking ? You could pushed me and I could have got real drunk .
Nurse was there and he looked at her and said I’ll bet he’s
