| the lower crude prices aren`t showing up at the pump. in north iowa around $3 gas and $3.10 diesel. i don`t know who`s "greedy", the gas stations or the refiners. kum & go stations seem to be passing it off to consumers a little better with gas in the $2.50`s. they talk about crude needing to be in the $70s to be profitable or breakeven, but it`s like "packer margins in the red!!!" sure is taking them a long time to go broke. like some farmers "losing $1 bushel raising beans and a little less growing corn" yet everyone got a new planter... who paid for that, oprah winfrey? and when a farm sells it`s $15,000. cost of productions are kind of dynamic number. | |
