Malta, Illinois | They are at the negotiating table and that is a very positive thing. As far as any "deal" it is far too early for there to have been any substantive deal reached. Trump is prone to exaggeration and I think the statements he as made about any potential agreement with China are just that. I certainly hold out hope that an agreement that benefits us greatly can be reached. My dark side is telling me that there will indeed be an agreement but it will be watered down with a lot of moving targets that will be hard to judge actual results. Lets hope for better than that. I think some kind of trade deal with China that lets commerce resume and focusing more on countries like India is probably where the sweet spot lies for an overall favorable end to the tariff nonsense. | |
