But I will say , if you think you can quit ( depending on your consumption)
Get medical help BEFORE you attempt this process.
Notice I said BEFORE. Not after like this knuckle head did .
Alcohol withdrawal can kill you . It does kill people .
Is it miserable in the hospital with every med thrown at you - damn right it is . But the misery ( the bad part )
Is only 2 days .
After that when you get home you will be jumpy and possibly see things that aren’t there for a long while ., could be a month of that , and nightmares .
The withdrawal is nothing compared to a miserable life drinking .
And no I’m never going to be one of those self righteous former drunks.
I still talk to a counselor once a week , mine is a LCDC
And a former drunk herself .
There is lots of help and support out there .
