As others mention: timing is everything. Tax years don't really have any bearing on the deal, outside of your tax person will have a little additional work. Nothing big I don't think.
If you end up selling depreciated assets as a result of the land sale: listen to Boone. There are ways to fund a retirement plan from that sale for example that can be very beneficial to you. Yup. He’s found himself in an enviable position. It’s nice to have options so as to not let taxes hamper the decision making process. |
