S Illinois | Keep in mind it’s cheaper to get beans from Brazilian ports to China than it is for any eastern US based ports. West Coast ports have a slight shipping cost advantage but the rail costs get cost prohibitive once away from the Dakotas. No amount of tariffs change that math. So we have to force a consumer to pay more for a product which means mandating purchases. It’s not all political. There are basic economics at work. | |
