When I was about 4 years old the dealer brought out a brand new 2N Ford. He picked me up and set me on the seat and we drove that tractor around. When my Mother saw this she about had a cow. I drove that Ford and later an 8N on the hay fork until my sister took over. Now I have a 1944 2N pretty much the same tractor. I know it is different from our original because it does not have an overdrive, that overdrive was both thrilling and dangerous. I sometimes wonder how I survived those years.

When I was 6 I drove a CC case on the hay fork. Hand clutch made it easy.
