Grundy County, IL | I can't give too many details, I was a little kid when most of this happened.
We did 1031 exchanges as our land was purchased, and rented it out until we chose which peice of property to move onto. After about half of the original ground was sold, we moved the operation and rented out our old ground until it sold.
This was the 2nd time we had moved. Did it back in the 60s for the first time, 1031 exchange on the first peice and then we kept coming back 25 miles into heavily developed area to farm the unsold ground until the right purchase came along. That brought more 1031's that we only held a few years until the 2nd move. | |
