| Agribusiness has long dictated farm policy. Farm program payments (and the farm program in general) are simply a form of money laundering for them. As stated before, rural America is full of towns that can't support a diner or grocery store but have huge grain elevators owned by monopolies along side equipment dealers with everything on the lot starting at six figures. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out who's making money in ag. It is what it is. | |
