Just got setup this spring with a Uniflex crimper from DiscountHydraulicHose.com You can crimp any hose or fittings with the dies it comes with, you just need to know the specific specs for the brand/style of fittings and hose. Select the largest die that is smaller than the desired crimp diameter, then back off the crimper the difference between the final diameter and the selected diameter of dies. You can find crimp specs, hose crossover information, and hose end information all online. We've got about $16k into the crimper, hose, and fittings so far. Just bought the hose sizes and fittings that I thought we would most use. If a project requires something different, there are online vendors that offer overnight shipping. We've already tackled several projects that we wouldn't have been able to do without our own crimper setup. Something I discovered that is helpful with a hose with fittings that you might not have is crimp on hose menders. Cutout the blown section of hose and then either crimp it back together, or add in enough new hose to get back to the length you need.

Edit: For hose cutting I'm using a Bosch metal chop saw with a 14" scalloped hose cutting blade. The blade was $400 and the saw around $200, but still much cheaper than the hose cutting saws I found for sale.
