IN | Usually want to lease the land for 99 years or some weird number with an apportioned increase every so often after a certain number of years. Right now they lease 1/10th of an acre for 925.75/month from us right now. Property tax of actual tower structure gets billed to them. Any fence or buildings they build within that acreage gets billed to you on your property taxes. Within a month you will receive multiple harassing phone calls and letters to buy out your lease for cash money. Not directly from tower people themselves but I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t employed by the tower company to purchase the lease for a fraction of what you would get paid out over the years to make it cheaper for the tower company in the long run. Overall a pretty good gig. Never had any issues with ours. They will want to make a drive to the tower so consider placing it in an area that won’t cut up a field bad if they have to put a drive in. Usually their site planners already have that in mind because they don’t want to be shelling out money for driveway stone that they will use once or twice a month. | |
