North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast | I put tin on the ceiling and some wainscot in the hunting cabin.
I wanted the rustic look so I used toilet cleaner to ‘rust’ new metal.
After washing oil off with dawn, blow dry and used gel toilet bowl cleaner. Rolled it with thick nap roller but a broom to spread it around worked better.
Let it sit few days if possible then wash it off. It will lightly start to rust almost immediately.
Cures in few sunny hours to a beautiful patina.
