Have been feeding black heifers should I be considering feeding steers ?
or just stay with the heifers?
I realize steers cost a little bit more but you can take them to heavier weights.
It’s one better than the other ?
What makes one choose one over the other ?

Depends on the spread—-and the breed. Black nose char crosses sell like hotcakes, here.
And seems no heifer feeds more like a steer than charolais
