EC IA | We background alot of calves. 80% are hfrs. Buy them 25-35 bucks back from strs and usually sell them at 850 lbs for 10-15 back. Good black hided and not to fleshy yearling sell real well for us. It doesn't matter what a guy buys though it takes alot of money to buy a load. But feed is cheap and plentiful for now and margins for how we operate are still good, just takes alot more money to operate. We have made lots of good money feeding hfrs. | |
